Medical Society of Virginia

2011 Annual Meeting

27-30 October 2011

The Medical Society of Virginia’s (MSV) House of Delegates (HOD) is the organization's principal policymaking body. At its annual meeting, the House acts on numerous reports and resolutions and establishes policy to guide the society and its members. It also approves the budget and elects officers, directors and delegates to the AMA.

At the annual meeting, there will be many other opportunities to participate in valuable sessions, including its house of delegates meeting, caucus meetings, reference committee meetings and educational sessions. There will also be an educational session where you can help design opportunities in team-based care. Outgoing MSV President Cynthia Romero, M.D., FAAFP will be recognized as she ends her term and Hugh M. Bryan III M.D. will be inaugurated as MSV’s new president. MSV will also introduce a new town hall where all physicians are invited to share ideas and discuss how MSV's governance can best support the strategic plan and vision for the future.

There will also be many indoor and outdoor activities that attendees can participate in with a 20 percent discount on every activity, including spa services and golf. MSV is organizing several social events for attendees to take a break and enjoy themselves with family and friends in social settings.
