Human Centered Innovation and Change Management in Healthcare is a program in collaboration with The Medical Society of Virginia and Virginia Commonwealth University designed to enhance physician leadership and promote innovative solutions in healthcare.
Human Centered Innovation and Change Management in Healthcare is a project-based program designed to solve complex, real-world issues in healthcare with a team made up of professionals across the healthcare profession spectrum through a series of tailored workshops, activities, and office hours led by VCU.
Provider teams organized by participants will spend six-months problem-solving a real world challenge. Teams will experiment and refine their top ideas using a human-centered systems thinking approach. During the workshops teams will have the opportunity to apply concepts directly to their challenge and share their journeys, helping identify next steps and support specific to their team.
Physicians who participate in these programs will receive a Certificate from ExperiencePoint and a series of micro-credentials (digital badges) from VCU, including Introduction to Design Thinking and Innovation with Lego Serious Play.
CME is also available for this program.
Your team should comprise of five to eight healthcare professionals and may include physicians, clinicians, admin, and/or other healthcare professionals. This team should be available for this project starting in October, 2026 until February, 2027.
