Suicide Prevention Training for Physicians and Mental Health Clinicians

Recognizing and Responding to Suicide Risk: Essential Skills for Clinicians training (RRSR) sessions are for physicians, healthcare providers, and mental health clinicians. All training materials are provided.

CE/CME Credits

12.25 hours of CME credit (AMA PR1 Category 1 from University of Utah School of Medicine) will be offered to eligible physicians.

American Psychological Association (psychologists), NBCC (counselors), and the National Association of Social Workers are approved to offer 12 continuing credits for this training.

Please share this opportunity with colleagues and other providers in your practice.

Because of the demand for seats, please register only if you are able to attend all four days of the session and are not ‘on-call’ during that time.

More about RRSR

Most mental health clinicians have had little or no formal training in assessing suicide risk, yet they are often called upon to do so. Recognizing and Responding to Suicide Risk: Essential Skills for Clinicians (RRSR) has been developed by the American Association of Suicidology specifically to fill this training gap.

RRSR has several components, including a web-based assessment, four 3-hour virtual training times per session, and continuing education/CME credits for counselors, social workers, and physicians when all four days are fully attended.
