Virginia requires 60 CME course hours per licensure period. All 60 CME hours may be type 1 hours, no more than 30 type 2 hours are allowed. Roughly 50 CME credits can be taken on any topic area. CME state requirements change frequently. Always confirm current requirements with Virginia’s Board of Medicine.
