August 30, 2016

The Medical Society of Virginia's (MSV) White Coats on Call is just around the corner. The 2016 edition of White Coats on Call was among the most successful yet. Not only did physicians flood the General Assembly halls and make their presence felt among key influencers, they also once again met with legislators to educate them on the impact various bills could have on medicine in Virginia.

What's new for White Coats on Call 2017?

  • The days have been condensed to increase participation and cross-specialty collaboration. There will be two "All Call" days for physicians, with certain specialties highlighted on each day. There will also be a dedicated Physician Assistant day for all professional physician assistants and students
  • MSV will provide a robust program with guided bill updates, guest speakers, updates on MSV opportunities and more.

What isn't new? As in the past, a filling breakfast and lunch will be provided to all attendees.

The following days are currently scheduled:

  • Tuesday, January 24 - All Call Day
  • Monday, January 30 - All Call Day
  • Monday, February 6 - Physician Assistant Day

Multiple issues were carried over to the 2017 Session, which means your attendance at the 2017 White Coats on Call lobby days is more essential than ever. MSV needs to have a strong advocacy presence at the General Assembly, and once again invites you to take part.

Registration opens in September, but email to be added to the official White Coats on Call mailing list.

The legislation at stake makes the 2017 White Coats on Call one of the most important yet. Be there to make sure your voice is heard. With your help, MSV will continue to make Virginia the best place in which to practice medicine and receive health care.

See you at Session!
