The Medical Society of Virginia Insurance Agency (MSVIA) is a critical part of the organization, providing exceptional insurance services to Virginia physicians (and lawyers) and generating a source of non-dues revenue that helps support other organizational activities.

MSVIA is seeking a seeking an Account Manager in our Property and Casualty department. As a member of the Property and Casualty Insurance team, the Account Manager will service current customers and work to provide the highest level of service and expertise to clients of the agency. 

The Account Manager responsibilities will include:

  • Management of existing accounts and renewals for all P&C lines of business (Professional Liability, Business Owners, Workers Compensation, Employment Practices Liability, etc.)
  • Cross-sell new and additional products and assist the New Business team with new business production/development for smaller accounts as needed
  • Continually review client policies, bills, endorsements, and audits, and educate client regarding policy coverage, changes, exclusions and insurance coverage needs


  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent job experience. 
  • Property and Casualty insurance agent’s license is required for this position. 
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Property/Casualty coverage and markets as well as knowledge of federal and state regulations affecting insurance products. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Excel is required and experience with Applied EPIC is preferred.
