What does the Advocacy Committee do?

The Advocacy Committee is charged with reviewing Advocacy Summit proposals and, in collaboration with the Board of Directors and Specialty Advisory Council, developing priorities for MSV’s future legislative agenda. Positions are term limited, and the committee meets four times a year – two via conference call, a July meeting in Richmond and one in conjunction with the MSV Annual Meeting. Advocacy Committee members cannot also serve on the MSVPAC Board.

Who can be on the Advocacy Committee?

The Committee is a comprehensive group of MSV members that features physicians from all areas of the state as well as one practice manager, one physician assistant, one medical student, and one academic center representatives.
