Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education - The Mission of the ACCME is the identification, development, and promotion of standards for quality continuing medical education (CME) utilized by physicians in their maintenance of competence and incorporation of new knowledge to improve quality medical care for patients and their communities.
The Journal of Continuing Education in the Health Professions - JCEHP is the journal of the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education, the Society for Academic Continuing Medical Education and the Association for Hospital Medical Education-Council on CME.
Web Resources on Virginia Healthcare Quality Gaps (PDF) - A list of web addresses to assist providers of CME in identifying healthcare problems, concerns and select issues for Virginia was compiled. National Institute for Quality Improvement and Education (NIQIE) - Founded in 2007 to support the integration of quality improvement and continuing education for health professionals, the mission of NIQIE is to translate research into practice and to facilitate the development, delivery and convergence of healthcare education with performance improvement, in order to improve the quality, safety, and effectiveness of healthcare delivery.
Performance Improvement (NIQIE.org) – A list of organizations focused on healthcare quality improvement through the development, identification, and endorsement of performance measures is provided at the NIQIE website.
