RAM, pediatricians and eye physicians serve as White Coats on Call

Physicians from the Richmond Academy of Medicine (RAM) visited with their legislators on Tuesday and thanked them for their support. Later in the week, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)-Virginia chapter brought together the largest group of White Coats on Call participants this year with over 55 participants. AAP-VA chapter members also had the opportunity to hear from Secretary of Health and Human Resources William A. Hazel Jr., M.D. and Commissioner of Health Karen Remley, M.D., M.B.A, FAAP. Lastly, the Virginia Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons visited with their legislators and expressed their support for the efforts to define surgery in HB 266 and SB 543.
