Participation needed for Statewide HIE patient survey initiative

27 January 2012

As the Statewide Health Information Exchange (HIE), “ConnectVirginia”, prepares to launch, the Central Virginia Health Network and MedVirginia are seeking assistance distributing a consumer/patient survey to patients to solicit feedback on the electronic sharing of health information. The organizations seek health care providers who are interested in distributing the paper surveys during the next few weeks. If you are interested in helping the HIE or would like additional information, please contact Jeff Odell at jodell@cvhn.com or 804 | 359-4500, EXT 227 as soon as possible.

Southeastern Institute of Research created the survey, which will be distributed through telephone, web and paper. The survey is currently being reviewed by Virginia Sec. of Health and Human Services William A. Hazel Jr., M.D. and State Health Commissioner Karen Remley, M.D., M.B.A, FAAP.
