MSV signs on to letter regarding overpayments

The Medical Society of Virginia (MSV) joined the American Medical Association (AMA) and several other state and medical specialty societies in sending a letter to Marilyn Tavenner, acting administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), to comment on the proposed rule regarding the Returning and Reporting of Overpayments. In the letter, the groups expressed concern that the proposed rule fails to clarify key elements of other existing CMS overpayment initiatives. They asked CMS to clarify and finalize guidelines on the reporting and returning of overpayments. Click here to read the letter.
