Reminder: Virginia Health Care Conference on June 7

The second annual Virginia Health Care Conference will be held on June 7 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. The Medical Society of Virginia (MSV) joins the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association and the Virginia Business Coalition on Health to sponsor this event.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear Paul Grundy, M.D., M.P.H., FACOEM, FACPM, global director of healthcare transformation at IBM, speak on the latest trends on health care and the economic impact of a healthy workforce. Russell Libby, M.D., FAAP, president-elect of the Medical Society of Virginia (MSV), will be speaking on Virginia health care innovations and best practices. This event will feature best practices and innovations to deliver quality, cost-effective health care and improve workforce wellness in the commonwealth.

  • William A. Hazel, Jr., M.D. - Secretary of Health and Human Resources, Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Andrew C. Webber - President & CEO, National Business Coalition on Health
  • Samuel Nussbaum, M.D. - Chief Medical Officer, WellPoint, Inc.

The 2012 Virginia Healthcare Innovators Awards will also be presented at the conference luncheon. The Innovators Awards honor Virginia providers and organizations/entities that have developed innovative ways to improve quality and/or efficiency.
