Cynthia Romero, M.D., FAAFP installed as MSV president; inaugural remarks to House of Delegates

On Fri., Oct. 22, 2010, Cynthia C. Romero, M.D., FAAFP was inaugurated as president of the Medical Society of Virginia (MSV) during its annual meeting at the Westfields Marriott in Chantilly, Virginia.

Dr. Romero had most recently served as president-elect of MSV.  She is a family physician who practices medicine in a family-run practice at Romero Family Practice in Virginia Beach. Her mother Aleli Romero, M.D. is her partner, and her father Deacon Chris Romero is the practice administrator.

An active MSV member since 1997, Dr. Romero chairs MSV’s task force on health care finance and policy and has served as a director to its board of directors and most recently as president-elect. She is a 2007 graduate of the MSV Foundation’s Claude Moore Physician Leadership Institute.
