Political Education

At the Medical Society of Virginia (MSV), we believe the most effective constituency is one that is well-informed of political issues that affect its core principles - and one that has ample opportunity and encouragement to pursue civic and political opportunities as well. Through programs like the Sorensen Institute of Political Leadership and the American Medical Association Political Action Committee (AMPAC), MSV provides members with resources to embark on successful political involvement, whether running for public office or working with elected officials and the general public to bring attention to issues of vital importance to physicians and patients throughout the commonwealth.
