Benefits of Membership

The Medical Society of Virginia (MSV) represents the concerns of all physicians across the state regardless of specialty, employment arrangements, or practice setting before the Virginia General Assembly, the Governor's office, and state agencies, and also represents physicians before the various insurance providers. Through the efforts of the Medical Society, physician views and health care issues are brought to the attention of Virginia and federal legislators and other governmental decision makers, as well as insurance companies.
