We are seeking a Publications and Content Manager who will support organizational strategic goals through a focus on providing membership value through written materials and media relations. In addition, the publications and content manager will work collaboratively with all MSV entities to plan, prepare and disseminate information regarding the organization via organizational publications, Web site, social media, newspapers, periodicals, television, video, radio and other forms of media. The publications and content manager will be responsible for reviewing analytics and making recommendations of ways to adjust content to provide exceptional value both to members and also to internal clients.

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in related field, plus five to ten years experience or equivalent. Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures of writing and public relations as well as AP style. Working knowledge of HTML and Microsoft Office software and experience using a Web-based content management system are also required.
Candidates must have proven demonstration in the following job specific competencies: knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including spelling, grammar, and rules of composition. Exceptional oral expression and written skills required. Demonstrated experience in writing for multiple media, including Web, print, video. Knowledge of media relations techniques such as press releases, media alerts, press conferences and personal pitches. Ability to plan projects to a timeline and budget, and to work on a variety of projects concurrently. Ability to quickly comprehend complex information and distill it to messaging appropriate to a variety of audiences. Ability to use judgment and decision making skills to consider relative costs and benefits of potential communications solutions.
Association and health care experience preferred.
